My First Post: Get Up And Help, Sometimes

Today is the start of my new blog, so if you don't mind, please be kind!!
We are in the midst of recovering from the epic Blizzard of 2016, so I have been trapped in the house with my husband, Mr. President #1 and Mr. President #2 for nearly SIX DAYS now. That's right...SIX DAYS! Other than shoveling a bit of snow now and then, we have been pretty lazy most of these snow days. As things slowly get back to normal, some of the school districts have started going back to school, and this makes me just a little concerned.
Although our garage is still snowed in, my husband managed to free us a little. Yesterday, with the help of our neighbors, my husband dug out his car that was parked on the street, so we ventured to the grocery store. While we were out, I was able to see how dangerous, snowy and icy the roads still were! Lanes were missing (covered in snow), mounds of snow made it hard to see when pulling out or merging, parking lots were half their usual size, and there was one thing that really stuck out like a sore thumb...
The sidewalks and corners where school buses would usually pick up the kiddos had been made into temporary dumping grounds for enormous piles of shoveled snow! My first thought was, "How exactly is this going to work?" I'm not too comfortable letting my child stand out in the middle of the street waiting for the school bus because his sidewalk is currently occupied by the same county who decided to open up the schools, so I have a plea/challenge for you, moms and dads..
Can you get up and help out? If you notice that your sidewalks are still covered and your child's bus stop is blocked by mounds of snow, I know we're not superman and superwoman, but get a shovel, gather up a few neighbors, and help make their lives a little safer. Thanks for letting me borrow a few minutes of your busy day, but sometimes it takes a village. Good luck digging out! Get that shovel and carry on!!

    Dear Fellow Moms,
I often hear my non-parent friends talk about how easy parenting must be, but they're wrong. Motherhood is no easy task. That's right, it's not brain surgery or rocket science, but something just as challenging...IT'S MOTHERHOOD! If you're with me, this is the blog for you! Motherhood might be challenging, but we're defeating the odds and completing the task like a BOSS!
